PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Hubbard Middle School welcomes parent involvement!  There are many opportunities to volunteer in areas that interest you—during school hours or after school events.  Listed below are some of the areas where help is needed.  Please download a volunteer form and return this form to your Student’s 6th Period Advisory Teacher ASAP or by September 2, 2011.

• 6th Grade Fall Social and End of the Year Picnic

• 7th Grade Fall Social and End of Year Activity

• 8th Grade Graduation Events -- May 31, 2011

   

• Birthday Cakes – provide birthday cakes for faculty.

• Book Fair (Fall/Spring) – set up book displays, work shifts at the time of the book fair, and dismantling the book fair. 

• PTA Sponsored School Wide Social - February 10, 2011-- someone to chair committee for this dance or to  help decorate, bring items for it, or to chaperone.     

• Office Copier Volunteer – making copies in office for faculty.

• Hospitality – baking for PTA or school functions -- events for staff throughout the year.

• Environment – assistance with campus beautification.

• Library – assisting librarian and helping students with various library activities.    

• Yearbook – taking pictures throughout the school year and help distribute yearbooks.

• Hot Dog Supper/Carnival – this is our Major PTA fundraiser!  This annual fundraiser is a Family Hot Dog Supper/Carnival held on October 27, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.   Volunteers serve food, take tickets, and work shifts in various booths.  A large number of volunteers are needed to make this event a success.  These evening hours make this a great way for working parents to volunteer.

  Band, Choir/Orchestra – assisting the directors with their volunteer needs.
